Biography

George, son of Daniel Rudd and Abigail Allyn, was born 8 October 1786 in Bozrah, New London County, Connecticut.^[1]

On 30 June 1811 in New London County, he married Mary Arnold^{[citation needed]} with whom he had children:

• Matilda (b. 21 January 1811;^[2] m. Caleb Whipple;^[3] d. 28 December 1884).^[2][3] Daughters: Caroline Mary Whipple Comstock (1839–1908)^[4] and Adeline G. Whipple Gay (1841–1915).^[5]

• Henry H. (b. 7 July 1814;^{[citation needed]} m. Sarah Chapel;^[6] d. September 1893).^[7] Children: Alfred Rudd (1845–1890),^[8] Eli Arnold Rudd^[9] and Emma Easter Rudd Nott.^[10] There may be other children needing more research.

• George (b. 26 February 1817;

d. 13 March 1888).

• Daniel (b. 23 October 1820;

d. 13 March 1888).

• Arnold (b. 8 February 1823;

m. Margaret M. Lyon (two sons); m. Louisa Congdon Beckwith (three daughters); d. 31 May 1905).

• Mariah (b. about 1826;

• John (b. 26 November 1829;

He died 12 March 1866 in Montville, New London County^[12] and was buried at Comstock Cemetery in Uncasville, New London.^[13] His wife survived until she died in Montville on 14 March 1883.^[14]
