Born Gerald Rubenstein, Jerry Douglas was an American actor best known for his 35-year reign on the daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless as patriarch John Abbott (1981-2016) and later the antagonist Alistair Wallingford (2008). ^[1]

Douglas appeared in over 70 TV shows and films over the course of his career. Some notable titles include the movies:Mommie Dearest (1981), JFK (1991), as well as TV shows: The Outer Limits (1963), "Mannix (1966), Mission Impossible (1970), S.W.A.T.
