Biography
Private Thomas Royal served with 1st Pennsylvania Regiment, Continental Army during the American Revolution.
Thomas Royal is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A099378.
Thomas was born in England and came to Pennsylvania in America in 1768 at age 16. Thomas fought in the Revolutionary War and was wounded. He carried the buckshot which lodged in his ankle to his grave. On June 29, 1782, Thomas married Hannah Cooper who died in 1808. He married Rebecca Mathew on July 19, 1809. Thomas moved to Sangamon County, Illinois in 1824.
