Mathilde Roy was born in 1828 at Petit Rocher, Gloucester, New Brunswick, daughter of Placide Roy and Mathilde Boudreau, with a birth date of 7 June 1828 and baptism the next day at St. Polycarpe.[1][2]

Mathilde married about 1852, Joseph Melanson.[3]
