Biography
Annie (sometimes known as Anna) was born in 1894 in the railroad town of Terrace, UT, and still lived there in 1900. She was the tenth and last child of Joseph Rowse and Elizabeth Williams. By 1920, she lived in Elko, NV, with her husband Cleveland Pollock and their infant son Perry. Cleve Pollock. a Canadian by birth, was a pipe-fitter for the railroad. In 1923 the couple moved to Sparks, NV (Ward 3), where they had a second child, Peggy. They were at the same location in 1935 and 1940. Annie worked for the Sparks Chamber of Commerce and was later a law librarian at the Washoe County Courthouse. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, American Legion Auxiliary, Forty and Eight, and Firemens Ladies Auxiliary. Her last residence was Jennings, FL, but she died in a Reno hospital and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Reno, NV. The Social Security Index says she died in July but this is incorrect.
