Biography
Bateman was born about 1791, the son of Henry Bateman Rowley and Polly Wilson. He married Sylvia Smith[1] in 1815 and had three known children
- Smith Thomas Rowley b. 1816 m. Sarah Ann Noble
- Samantha Ann Rowley b. 21 Mar 1817 m. Abner Mead
- Reverend George Bateman Rowley b. 13 Jun 1818 d. 23 Jan 1908 m. Mary Beulah Carpenter[2]
