The Spectator and Methodist Chronicle Wednesday 19 December 1917 (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia)

In Memoriam MRS. NANCY P. ANGWIN Mrs. Angwin was born on the 1st September, 1842, at St. Just, Cornwall, England, and arrived in Australia in 1864. At the age of 23 she married, and was first settled in Clunes, where she resided for a considerable period. Her widowhood has covered 37 years, and her family has included two daughters and three sons (one of whom is now serving in France). Mrs. Angwin reached the goodly age of 75 years, and passed away at her residence in Mill-street, Ballarat West, on Sunday, Oct. 21st. From the early age of fourteen years, she has been a decided follower of the Lord. Her religious experience partook of the nature of a serious delight in the things of God. During her indisposition, she was frequently visited by the Sunshine Committee of the Y.P.S.C.E., Burnbank-street, and expressed great happiness in connection with their short spiritual services. Following a short meeting at the house, conducted by Rev. F. C. Vian, her mortal remains were conveyed to Clunes, where the funeral obsequies were concluded by the Rev. W. T. Hiatt. We greatly miss the cheerful face of our worthy sister, who has been a beautiful example of Christian faith and patience through sufferings borne with much fortitude.
