Clarence Louis Rouse was born on May 28, 1846 in Catskill, Greene, New York, United States, son of Isaac Rouse (1799–1891) and Sarah Helen (Becker) Rouse (1823–1869).[1]

Clarence died on Sep 9, 1891 in Catskill, aged 45. He was buried in Catskill Village Cemetery, Catskill.[1]

Monday morning, (week) Clarence Rouse, son of Isaac Rouse of Catskill, was taken to Poughkeepsie State Hospital at the instance of his father. His trouble is alcoholism. He had been at his father's house for several months and on Sunday became so violent in his conduct that it was thought necessary to send him to the asylum. He was taken to Poughkeepsie by Officer Whitcomb.— Mail
Julia married after Clarence's death, Joseph F. Zimmerman on the 16th of October 1894 in Catskill, Greene County, New York. Julia was born in March of 1864 in New Jersey.
