Biography
Mitchell Ross is a part of US Black heritage.
Mitchell was born about 1827.
He was buried at the Elams Chapel United Church of Christ Cemetery, (the church which he founded a ministry) in 1908.[1]
Notes
Bettie and Mitchell were enslaved people in Warren County, North Carolina. The index for the FamilySearch record states that the marriage "event date" was 16 July 1866, but that was actually the date they went to court and attested that they had been married ("cohabit[ed] together as man and wife") since 6 December 1860.
