Newspaper Article The Janesville Daily Gazette, Janesville, Wisconsin Page 4, 22 July 1891 A Pioneer Passes Away - Mrs. Betsy Rose Moon

"Mrs. Betsy Rose Moon, widow of the late Benoni Moon, died last evening at her home at No. 8. Milton Avenue, aged seventy-seven years. Her death was the results of infirmities of age, aggravated by a severe attack of grip, from which she suffered last winter. Mrs. Moon came to Janesville with her husband from New York state, forty-seven years ago, and became a citizen of the little hamlet which then occupied in part the present site of our beautiful city. Her husband died some seventeen years ago. Few people now living in Janesville claim an earlier residence than did Mrs. Moon."
