Biography

Dewitt was born 26 Feb 1929 Lookout, Kentucky. He passed away 13 Jul 2003 Pikeville, Kentucky. He was the son of Jeff and Reversie (Bentley) Rose of Lookout, Kentucky.

He volunteered into the U.S. Army and was inducted into service on 18 May 1951 at Ashland, Kentucky. He was Honorably discharge on 24 Feb 1951. Dewitt received C I B Korean Service Medal W/2 Bronze Camp Stars and the United Nations Service Medal while with the ORC INF. He separated at the Separation Center Headquarters at the Armored Center of Fort Knox, Kentucky.
