My grandfather, DudleyEdward Young is a decendent of Robert E. Young Sr. who fought in the War of Independance and shot Col. Ferguson. I am trying to research his line all the way back to the battle of Clontarf in Ireland in 1027 but I'm having trouble establishing a link between the Scottish Clan Laumond (Lamont) and the Ua Neill's of Ireland. I've checkd several free sites and their trees conflict in this time around 1027 to 1100.
