Biography

Nicholas was born in 1893 in an area was called different things depending on the time, including the Austrian Empire, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. His name was translated differently in different documents. The ending of Romanski could be a i or y. He signed the wedding certificate Nykalo. The original names would have been written in the Ukrainian alphabet.

Nicholas Romanski immigrated to America before World War I (10 Mar 1910) and settled in Rochester New York. He worked at Bausch and Lomb as a tool and die machinist as well as other jobs. [1]

It was there that he married (8 Feb 1913) and had two daughters. [2]

He became a citizen (Dec. 28, 1926). [3]

He passed away 7 Jul 1949 in Rochester and is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.[4] [5]

I recommend removing the first DNA confirmation statement, as it is incorrect. For two sisters, the only relationships you can confirm by their match is each of their relationships to their own parents, but not any further back.

Your second DNA confirmation statement that currently begins "Paternal relationship is confirmed ...." should be changed to read "Paternal and maternal relationships are confirmed by ....".
