Biography

Albert S. Roker was born on November 24, 1910 in the Bahamas. ^[1]

He immigrated to the United States around 1919. ^[2]

He married Bessie Mitchell in Miami, Dade county, Florida on April 29, 1929. ^{[3] [4]}

In the 1930 US Census, he was living at 562 NW 13th St in Miami, Florida, with his wife Bessie, daughter Roxie, and sister Mable. He was employed as a porter at a restaurant.^[2]

The family appeared in Miami in the 1935 Florida Census. He was living with his wife Bessie and his daughter Roxie, and was working as a laborer. ^[5]

In the 1937 Miami directory Albert and Bessie were renting a home at 1317 NW 5th ct. ^[6]

He was naturalized on December 13, 1943 in New York. ^[7] He was living at 106 Hancock St. when he was naturalized. ^[7]

Albert died on May 15, 2004. ^[8]
