From her obituary: "Mrs. Helena Ralston died at her home, 672 Perry street Sunday afternoon at 4:25. She had been an invalid for a number of years and death came as a welcome release. Helena Rohn Ralston was born on the old Rohn homestead in Richland township this county, August 17, 1844 and died October 21, 1917. She was educated in the Ursilline (sp) Conevent at Ft. Wayne and Lebanon College. January 19, 1870 she was married to Orlando L. Ralston. They moved to their farm in Noble township where they lived until their removal to this city in 1909 with exception of one year in Cleveland, O. Mr. Ralston did in August, 1910. A son Ernest died in July 1916. She leaves four children, Joseph and Eugenia Ralston of Defiance, Mrs. E. R. Bevington of Toledo and Karl Ralston of Cleveland. She leaves ten grandchildren and two sister, Dr. Adelia A. Rohn of Defiance and Mrs. P. A. Durham of Ocean Spring, Miss () and a brother Frank H. Rohn… Mrs. Ralston met all the vicissitudes and trials of life with high courage and during her long period of invalidation was always patient and cheerful and at the end passed quietly into rest. Funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. C. E. Shields. Burial at Riverside."
