Biography

Sarah Rogers was born on 15 August 1674 in Billerica, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Her father, John Rogers, was 33, and her mother, Mary Shed, was 26. John Rogers and Mary Shed^[1]

She married Roger Toothaker on July 20, 1703, in Billerica, Middlesex, Massachusetts^{[1] [2]}

They had six children during their marriage. She died on March 8, 1718, in Billerica, Massachusetts, at the age of 43, and was buried there.

Research Notes

There seems to be a discrepancy with the birth place. "Find a Grave" says Sarah was born in Reading, Middlesex on the same date. This is not logical because her parents and her husband all lived and died in Billerica. Massachusetts. The Shed Genealogy lists Sarah as a daughter of John Rogers and Mary Shed, however, other sources have William Roggers as her father. This why I listed parents as uncertain. Possible explanation is that her father's second wife was Abigail Gould who was first married to William Rogers who was from Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts. However Sarah was born before Mary Shed died (1688) and before her father married Abigail Gould in 1689.
