Marcus Spence had a second wife, Joanna Roe. Little is known about her. This writer hasn't located her in a census record, marriage record, death certificate, etc. What is known about her is from the obituary of her son, John Spence when her name is recorded as Joanna Spence. [1]
The second instance of her name is from the Obituary of Marcus Spence when she is recorded as the second marriage to Miss Joe Ann Roe of Pickens County, one son survives, John Spence, of Detroit.[2]
