Biography

Judith, daughter of Christopher Robinson & Mary, was born on 2 June 1736 and baptised on 10 June 1736 in Christchurch, Middlesex, Virginia.[1]

Judith married Carter Braxton, signer of the Declaration of Independence and had issue:

(1) Mary Robinson Braxton, b. 1756, Gloucester County, Virginia d. Aft 1787, Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia , who married Robert Page of Hanover. They had issue Judith Page who married Brooke and had Walter Brooke (U.S. Senator from Miss.)

(2) Judith Robinson Braxton, b. 10 Dec 1757, 'Newington' King & Queen County, Virginia d. 11 Oct 1823, 'White Plains' King & Queen County, Virginia, who married John White of King William, son of Rev. Alexander White, and they had Judith who married Judge William Brockenbrough, and had Sarah Jane who married Edward Colston.

"In 1755, Braxton married the wealthy, beautiful and amiable Judith Robinson, the daughter of Christopher and Judith Robinson of Hewick, Middlesex County, Virginia. Judith died shortly after the birth of their second child in 1757 leaving Braxton devastated with grief."[1]
