Captain Cyrus L. Roberts was born circa 1754, in Pittsylvania county, Virginia. Cyrus served as an officer during the American Revolutionary War, in both the 10th Regiment and the 14th Regiment of the Continental Line, with Colonel Charles Lewis, and Colonel William Davies. [1]
Cyrus L. Roberts is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolutionary War as DAR Ancestor #A096910. DAR Records indicate that Cyrus died in 1793, in Rockingham county, North Carolina and that his wife's maiden name was Hundley. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of his daughter, Catherine, who married William Covington. [2]
