Biography

Mary Ann Rine was born on 18 November 1846 in Tennessee.[citation needed] On 1 June 1850 she may have been in Bedford, Bedford County, Tennessee.[1] She was living with the Hightowers in 1860 in Big Springs, Arkansas.[2]

Mary married William R. Hightower about 1861 in Izard County. They lived in Izard County, Arkansas. Their children were:

  2. Martha Ann Hightower (1866–1905)
  3. Nancy Ann Hightower (1868–1948)[3]
  4. John William Hightower (1871–1901)
  5. Elizabeth Addie Hightower (1873–1934)

  8. Wallace Green Hightower (1881–1952)
  9. Willie Agnes Hightower (1886–1976)
  10. Walter Cagle Hightower (1889–1967)[5][6]

She died 1910-1920 in Zion, Izard County, Arkansas, United States, aged about 83. She was buried in Antioch Cemetery, Zion, Izard County, Arkansas.[7]
