Richard Richie is a part of US Black heritage.

Richard enlisted as a soldier during the American Civil War.[1] He signed up with Company B, 55th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry at Readville, Massachusetts.[1] Tragically, he never left Readville as he contracted pneumonia and died there two months later.[1] Prior to the war he was a farmer in Greenville, Mississippi.[1] He was born about 1835.[1]
