Biography

William was born about 1663. A birth record has not been found for him. His birthdate is based on his wife's age and their marriage date.
William married Elizabeth Lonsdale, the daughter of Jeffrey Lonsdale and Ann Robertson at a Quaker meeting held at the house of -----Robertson in Swalesdale on 20 May 1694.^[1]
The parents of William and Elizabeth are not given on the marriage record. Several Lonsdale's and Robertson's signed the marriage certificate. The only Richardson on the record was a Joseph Richardson. It is not known what relationship he might be to William.
William and Elizabeth had five known children, their births being recorded by the Monthly Meetings of Richmond, Coverdale, Masham, Swaledale: Wensleydale (1658-1694)

Joseph b. 1695, d. 1772, m. Ann Paxson

Joshua b. 1699, d. 1728

Ann b. 1700, d. 1726

James b. 1702, probably died young.

Rachel b. 1705, d. 1732, m. Samuel Spence.

Joseph and his siblings arrived in the colonies in 1724. Joseph moved to Bucks County, PA, his siblings stayed in Philadelphia.

William's date of death is unknown.
