William Andrew Renwick was born on 25 Mar 1906 in Durham, England, son of Sarah Ella (Carr) Renwick and William Renwick.^[1]

He married Phoebe Ellen Clarke on 26 December 1935 at St Margaret’s Church in Eltham, Victoria, Australia.^[2] They had three children.^{[citation needed]}
