Hi Doug!

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the Germany Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Doug,

Thanks for your work to correct and clarify the facts regarding Elizabeth Riegal's daughters. It is great to find find people who will take the time to set things straight.

Apparently you are related to one or more of the profiles that I manage. If you want or need to be added to the trusted list of these profile, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Doug,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community! Please remember that we are trying to build one Collaborative Global Family Tree which means only one profile per person. It is important to ensure that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

To help you get started, check out an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. For member benefits, see our Community Members page.

We also have a Mentor Team who will be glad to answer questions and help you with any specific problems.

Welcome and Enjoy!

I've only started researching my family and my wife's family about a year ago. With the help of other family members, I've seen a lot of progress. I've also wasted a lot of time tracking down dead ends or, worse yet, false leads. :) I stumbled across wikitree because a member had data that I'd not seen elsewhere—and I'm volunteering because I'd rather contribute and verify data than just use someone else's work.
