Biography

The son of John Reep and Henrietta (Holcomb) Reep, Frank was born in Inskip, Tennessee in 1894,^{[citation needed]} residing with his family in Civil District 2 of Knox County.^[1] By 1910, his family had migrated west, settling in Alpaugh, California.^[2] His siblings included:

1. Harriet Reep (1879-1879)
2. Mary H. "Mamie" Reep (1883-1976)
3. Wilford S. Reep (1886-1962)

His family migrated west to California and Frank Reep married there, marrying Muriel (Billing) Broman in Tulare County on September 24, 1914;^{[citation needed]} they had one son together). Frank Reep registered for the draft in Alpaugh on June 5, 1917, stating that he was married and worked as a merchant, also providing telephone service, in Alpaugh. He was described as a man of medium height and build with dark brown hair and light grey eyes.^[3]

In January of 1920, the young family lived with John's sister, Henrietta "Mamie" (Reep) Settles and her family, which included John's widowed mother, Henrietta, in Alpaugh.^[4] Frank did not work at the time and was already ill; the household included a live-in nurse. A few weeks later, Frank was admitted to the Tulare and Kings Joint Tubercular Hospital in Springsville, California, and he was enumerated on the census there later in January.^[5]

Frank Reep died of tuberculosis in July of that year; he was 25 years old.^[6] He is buried at Tulare Cemetery, Tulare, California/^[7]
