Ian Hamilton Redman was born on 19 Oct 1917 in Stroud, New South Wales, Australia. He was the son of Daniel Garlic Redman and Sarah Ellen (Bramble) Redman. [1]

The Gloucester Advocate, Tue 19 Nov 1940, Page 2:

"Constable Ian Redman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Redman, of Coreac, is at present home on three weeks' leave. This young officer, who is stationed at the Bourke Street Mounted Depot, had the misfortune to break his ankle when his horse fell with him while on duty at Randwick Racecourse."[2]

He married Elizabeth Clare Ginns in 1943 in Kogarah, New South Wales, Australia. [3]

On 6 Feb, 1973, Ian was promoted from Sergeant 1st Class to Inspector 3rd Class.[4]

In 1977, Ian appeared on the electoral roll, residing at 42 Hickson Street, Merewether, New South Wales, Australia. His occupation was listed as police superintendent.[5]

He died on 10 Apr 1999 in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales, Australia. [6]
