Elizabeth was my great, great grandmother. Her two sons John and Gus died in the First World War. John at the first battle of the Somme (aged 18) and Gus at the third battle of Ypres (aged 21). Her husband Edwin Wilson presented her with "an eternal love buckle ring" in 1918 in their memory. I wear the ring today with pride.
