William served in the Union Army with the 35th Colored Infantry during the Civil War.[1]
William, child of Benjamin Reed & Jane St Clara, married Alice D Howland in Rhode Island in 1969.[2]
In the 1880 census Wm (age 32), Oyster saloon keeper, was the married head of household in Bristol, Bristol, Rhode Island, United States. Wife Alice, 3 children.[3]
In the 1900 census B (age 52), Caterer, was the widowed head of household in Bristol, Bristol, Rhode Island.[4]
William died in 1910 and was buried in North Burial Ground, Bristol, Bristol County, Rhode Island, United States.[5]
