Ann was possibly born on the 3rd July 1749 and Baptised on the 3rd July 1749 at St. Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey, Surrey, England, the daughter of Robert Ray and Sarah Ray of Grainge Road[1].
On the 5th November 1773, Ann married William Blackbourn at All Saints, Wandsworth, Surrey, England[2].
She passed away aged 53* years 1800 and was buried on the 23rd August 1800 at Wandsworth, Surrey, England[3]
There were many Ann Rays born in the London area about the time she would have been born. Bermondsey is 7 miles from Wandsworth and is the closest baptism to the year of birth estimated from her death in 1800..
There was also an Ann Ray baptised 1740 at St. Botolph withoud Aldgate[6], and Ann Ray bapt. 1751 at St. George in the East[7], and one baptised at 1752 at St. Mary Whitechapel[8].
All trees on Ancestry have incorrectly recorded her dying in 1828 in Islington - this isn't possible as her husband William remarried as a widower in 1802, and there is a more likely burial for her in Wandsworth in 1800.
