Hi. I descend from Ellen Sweetman, married to Denis Prendergast of Cork in 1759. They both migrated to Spain around 1767 and settled there.

I am trying to find information about her and her husband. Everyone I know thinks it is funny that a Spanish man would settle in Ireland as I did 14 years ago. I did not know about Ellen and Denis when I decided to come to Ireland but now that I know about them it makes a lot of sense to me to go back to my roots in a way. Any tips on how to find more information about them will be greatly appreciated. Denis´ and Ellen´s son got married in Spain to one of the Gordon´s of Beldorney (Scotland). I wish that the information on the Sweetmans and Prendergasts of Ireland was as plentiful as is the case for the Gordon´s eg: https://www.patrickspeople.scot/our%20family/6667.htm
