Maria Dorothea Randt was born on 4 February 1813 in Benzin. [1] She was the daughter of Johann Heinrich Randt and Trina Maria Schult. [1]
She married Johann Carl Niklas Koepke on 27 April 1838 in Lübz. [2] They had the following children:
- Johanna Maria Dorothea b. 1838 [3]
- Christiane Caroline Dorothea b. 1839 [4]
- Christian Friedrich Theodor b. 1840 [5]
She departed Hamburg for the United States on 16 July 1853 on the ship Humboldt. [6] She arrived in New York on 10 September 1853. [7] She was traveling with her husband John and their children Marie, Dorothea, and Christian. [6] [7]
She appeared in the 1860 US Census in Green Garden, Will County, Illinois. [8] She was living with her husband John and their son Christian. [8]
She appeared in the 1870 US Census in Monee, Will County, Illinois. [9] She was living in the household of her son Christian, along with her husband John. [9]
She was buried at Saint Paul Evangelical Reformed Church Cemetery in Monee, Will County, Illinois. [10]
