Biography

The son ofWilliam Daniel Randall and Olive A (Oliver) Randall, Francis Randall was born in Ridgeway Township, Michigan^[1] in 1889, residing there with his family.^[2] In 1910, Frank lived in Raisin Township, Michigan, residing in the home of his employers, John and Lulu Grey while working for John Grey as a farm laborer.^[3]

Frank married Gertrude (Aten) Randall, marrying in Logan Township, Michigan on November 9, 1910^[4] having five known children together:

1. Hazel Randall (1911-2005)
2. Olive Randall (1913-2005)
3. Ruth F Randall (1917-2013)
4. Billie Elizabeth Randall (1929-2004)
5. William Frank Randall (1932-2019)

Frank registered for the World War I draft when he was 27, registering in Tecumseh Township, Michigan on June 5, 1917.^[5] He stated that he lived at 209 North Van Buren Street in Tecumseh Township and that he worked at Tecumseh Gravel Company, working there as an engineer. Frank was described as a tall, slender man with light brown hair and blue-grey eyes. He did not enlist and by 1920, lived in Macon Township, Michigan while Frank worked as a machinist, working at a garage.^[6][7]

After the Great Depression hit Michigan, Frank began working at the Henry Ford Farm as a farm laborer.^[8] By 1950, residing in Saline Township, Michigan, Frank worked at a farm implement company as a tractor mechanic.^[9]

Frank Randall passed away around the age of 71 and is buried at Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway Township, Michigan.^[10]
