Biography

Arthur was born in 1893. He was the son of William Ramster and Mary Simpson.^[1]

He lived in Hull in 1901^[2] and 1911.^[3]

He served in the Royal Naval Reserve in World War I.^[4] In 1915 he was serving on HM Trawler Othello II which was off South Foreland when a mine exploded, killing him.^[5][6][7] His body was not recovered for burial, but he was commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial.^[8][9]
