Alexander in the Afternoon A large number of Rockford people attended a wedding in the country last evening one of the happiest events in which they have participated for some time. The occasion was the marriage of Miss Jennie Ralston of Caledonia, to Hugh McEachran, of Argyle. Ralston-1329 The wedding was celebrated at the residence of the bride's brother, William B. Ralston, three miles north of Caledonia. Carriages were in waiting for the Rockford guests when the alighted from the train, and they were quickly conveyed to the scene of the festivities. Nearly four hundred friends gathered at the Ralston home to witness the ceremony and enjoy the delightful hospitality dispensed in a good, old-fashioned way. It was 4 o'clock when the couple took their positions on the broad veranda in front of the house, where the impressive service which united their destinies was performed by the Rev. Alexander, of Argyle. The twain were unattended. The bride wore a pretty gown of white wool stuff, with trimmings of pearl. When the numerous congratulations had been spoken a great wedding feast was served And informal receptions followed in the evening. Many beautiful presents were brought by the guests.
