Biography

James was born in 1902. He was the son of Henry Raehn and Amanda McGranahan.

He married Lemira Chloe Talley (b. 1902) in 1921.^[1]

They were in Los Angeles in 1930. He was working as an electrician and she was a laborer at a factory.

Another marriage is recorded in 1945 in Arizona.^[2]

He passed away in 1953. His death certificate indicated burial was in Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Research Notes

Was he married twice or more? The names of wives were Lemira Chloe Talley (1921 wedding record) Lunira P (1930 census) and Elma Lucille Ray (1945 marriage record). Lemira and Lunira are close enough to be the same woman. FS gives Lemira Talley's parents as John R. Talley and Lemira Ann Peters.
