Bridget (Quinn) Mackey was born in Ireland.

Bridget (Quinn) Mackey died from complications arising from the birth of her unnamed son.

Bridget was baptised on 17th June 1834 in the parish of Blackditches, County Wicklow. Her family was of Ballinahown, County Wicklow. [1] She was the daughter of John and Anne (née Green) Quinn.

She married Thomas Phibbs c.1857 in the parish of Blackditches, County Wicklow; [2] they had three children.

  1. Mary
  2. Patrick b. 13th December 1862 in Blackrock, County Wicklow. [3]
  3. John b. 22nd May 1864 in Lugnagun, County Wicklow. [4][5]

In 1864, her husband, Thomas, died [6] meaning Bridget and her children had to leave Lugnagun and return to her homeplace in Ballinahown. [2] [7] She married Thomas Mackey on 4th March 1867 in the parish of Blackditches, County Wicklow; [7] they had three children.

  1. Anne, b. 15th December 1867 in Lackan, County Wicklow. [8]
  2. William, b. 28th December 1868 in Lackan, County Wicklow[9]
  3. An unnamed son, b. 31st December 1869 in Lackan, County Wicklow [10]

She gave birth to her youngest son on 31st December 1869, [10] who died four hours after birth. [11] She passed away five days later on 5th January 1870 in Lackan, County Wicklow at the age of 35. [12]
