Biography

Thomas Quiney was born in Warwickshire, England.

Thomas Quiney was the third son of Thomas Quiney and his wife Judith Shakespeare. He was the grandson of English poet and playwright William Shakespeare.^[1]

He was baptised on 23 January 1619/20 at Holy Trinity, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, and entered in the parish register as: "Thomas fili Thomas Queeney."^[2]

He never married or had children of his own.^[3][4]

He died at age 19 within a few weeks of his older brother Richard in 1639.^[1] He possibly died from the plague.^{[citation needed]} He was buried on 28 January 1638/9 at Holy Trinity, Stratford.^[5][6]
