Biography

Samuel Quertermous was born about 1864 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.^[1] He was the son of James Quertermous and Sarah McCawley.^[2][3][1] Samuel married Arra Williams about 1892.^[4] He worked as an assistant superintendant for a life insurance company in 1910^[4] but his death certificate stated he was a grocery man.^[1] Arra and Samuel had 2 sons, James Williams and Samuel Wise Quertermous.^[4] Samuel died on September 1, 1918 in Los Angeles.^[1] He is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood (Los Angeles County), California.^[5]
