• William was born in 1875 at Tynemouth, Northumberland, England.^[1][2] He was the son of Joseph Povey (abt.1846-abt.1915) and Isab (Unknown) Povey (1860-1920).^[3][4][5]
• He was married to Jane Ann (Robinson) Povey (abt.1876-abt.1944) in 1903 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne.^[6] They had these known children:^[7]
