- Winchester, Frederick Co., Va., 1801. Their child, Benjamin Slane, Jr. (d
- 1875) m. Delilah Cheshire, 1824. The younger Slane moved in 1830 to Somerset,
- Perry Co., Ohio, and the next year (November 1831) to Peoria. In 1833 he moved
- to Richwoods Twp.; two years later, after selling his claim to Smith Frye, he
- moved to Rosefield Twp., on the Kickapoo Creek; finally, in 1849, he moved to
- Princeville Twp., Peoria Co.
