Biography
Murlen was born in Winston County, Alabama, the Pebble Community. His parents moved from Franklin County, Alabama to the Pebble Community of Winston County, Alabama about 1931. Attended the Pebble grammar school, the Haleyville High School, earned a Batchelor’s Degree in Engineering from Auburn University and a Masters degree in Management from Webster College. Served two years in the Army National Guard and four years in the U. S. Air-Force during the Korean War.
