Charles Porter was born in 1793 in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. He had five sons and two daughters with Mary Porter between 1821 and 1839. He died on June 2, 1868, in York, New Brunswick, Canada, having lived a long life of 75 years, and was buried there.
