Biography

Grace Pollock was born in Winchester, Hampshire, on 24 August 1915. Her parents were Andrew Robert Pollock, a driver with the Royal Fleet Auxillary (RFA), and Susan Hannah Pollock, who lived on Eastgate Street. She was baptised at St Maurice church in Winchester on 19 September 1915.^[1]

Grace Margaret Pollock married Henry Gollop in Winchester in July 1934.^[2]

In the 1939 census, Henry J Gollop, a postman born 10 Nov 1909, lived at 15 Tower Street, Winchester, with his wife, Grace M Pollock, born 24 Aug 1915, who was doing unpaid domestic duties.^[3]

Grace and Henry had at least 3 children: Blandine Gollop (later Campbell), born in Winchester in 1935^[4], Anthea Gollop, born in Winchester in 1942; and Vivienne E Gollop (later Richmond), born in Winchester in October 1944^[5]

Grace Gollop passed away in 2003.^[6]
