Biography

Sister Cecile Poisson, SSS Cecile Marie Dina Poisson, born September 10, 1912 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, went home to God on March 19, 2008 in Los Angeles. she entered the community on September 24, 1949, taking her final vows on June 5, 1950. Her ministries were in social work. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her religious community. A prayer Vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 25, at 7pm, and a funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 26 at 10 am. Both services will be held at the Sisters of Social Service, 4316 Lanai Rd., Encino, CA 91436. Interment follows at Calvary Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90023. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Social Service at the above address. Cecile was born in 1912. She was the daughter of Adelard Poisson and Dina Beaudet. She passed away about 2008.
