Johnny Larezia Pogue was born on May 12, 1910 in Greenwood, Caddo, Louisiana, United States, son of Robert Pogue (~1876–~1964) and Eliza Arkansaw (1884–1956).
In the 1930 census John (age 19) was the single son of Robert Pogue on Greenwod Bethany Oil Bound Road, Police Jury Ward 5, Caddo, Louisiana, United States.[1]
