Esther Poff, daughter of Peter Riley Poff, Sr. and Elizabeth (Picklesteimer) Pickle was born 1795 in Montgomery Co., VA, and died July 06, 1864 in Floyd Co., VA.

She was the fourth of eight children. Regarding Esther and her siblings we find the following records:

Erma Conner Sowers in "Head of the River Ancestors" lists only Catherine ("Katy") and Esther as Peter Poff's daughters. [page 22]. No mention is made of Elizabeth ("Betsy"), the youngest sister.
