Biography

John Orme Plummer was born in October 1894 in De Lamar, Owyhee, Idaho, United States. [1][2] De Lamar was a mining town, but it is now a ghost town.[3]

John Orme Plummer was secretary to the Dean of Sciences at McGill University in Montreal.

In 1911, John Plummer lived with his parents Frank and Frances Plummer and two sisters, at 109 Madison Street, Toronto North Sub-Districts 11, Ontario, Canada.[2]

During World War 1, John was a Lieutenant in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.[4]

Isabella Mary Abbott and John Ormer Plummer were married on 28 Feb 1929.

"John Ormer Plummer, Bond Salesman, Bachelor, aged thirty-four years (Church of England) of 460 Jarvis Street in the City of Toronto in Province of Ontario, formerly of Idaho, one of the United States of America, son of Frank Plummer and Frances (Fetherstonhaugh) his wife: and Isabella Mary Abbott of 299 Pine Avenue West in the City of Montreal Province of Quebec, spinster aged thirty-eight (Church of England) daughter of Arthur Edward Abbott and Marianne Jane (Campbell) his wife. Were married after the due publication of Banns, on the twenty-eighth day of February in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine. By me, ??? Dean and Rector. In the presence of: Geo. Plummer, Pauline F. --, W.E. Abbott, Marianne Jane Abbott."[5]
