Birth

Alfred was born in 1861 in Arkesden, Essex^[1]. He was the son of Nathan Pluck and Mary Clark.

Marriage

Alfred Pluck and Martha Morgan were married after banns in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire on 9th October 1882^[2]. They were bachelor and spinster and both living in the parish. Alfred was 20, working as a labourer and the son of Nathan Pluck who was also a labourer. Martha was 22 and the daughter of John Morgan who was a labourer^[3].
