Biography
Meredith Pleasents was born on 14th January 1890 at Euroa, Victoria (Australia). She was the second daughter of William Benjamin Pleasents, manager of the National Bank at Euroa, and Ada Watt. [1]
Meredith married Captain Herbert 'Bert' Lloyd on 27th May 1914 in the Methodist Church, Redfern, New South Wales. [2][3] They had a daughter, Jane Meredith, and two sons.
When Bert retired from the Army in 1946, as a decorated Major General, the couple moved into the historic home Cloncorrick, 32 Darling Point Road, Darling Point, in Sydney's eastern suburbs. [4]
Aged 62 years, Meredith passed away on 1st September 1952 at Cloncorrick. [5][6] She was survived by Bert, and their three children and their families.
