John, Earl of Kent had Papal dispensation to marry Elizabeth, daughter of Willem or Guillaume, Margrave of Juliers, on 3 April 1348.[1]

JOHN OF KENT, (Plantagenet-125), 3rd Earl of Kent, Lord Woodstock, 4th Lord Wake, 2nd son, born at Arundel, Sussex 7 April 1330. He married by dispensation dated 3 April 1348 ELIZABETH OF JULICH (or JULIERS), daughter of William (or Guillaume) I, Margrave (afterwards Duke) of Julich, Prince of the Empire, Earl of Cambridge in England, Lieutenant, Captain and Vicar General in France for King Edward III, by Jeanne, daughter of Guillaume III, Count of Hainault, Holland, and Zeeland [see HAINAULT 9.III for her ancestry]. She was the niece of Queen Philippe of Hainault, wife of King Edward III of England, They had no issue.
